Supreme Court suggests Indian Government to put farm law on hold

The Supreme Court of India says its right of farmers to hold non-violent protests suggests Central Government to put the new farm law on hold while setting up an impartial and independent committee, including experts like P Sainath to end this dispute.

Chief Justice of India S A Bobde heading a three-judge bench hearing a number of petitions seeking removal of farmers protesting at Delhi border. The Chief Justice said he would order for serving of notice to protesting farmers union as well as the farmers can approach the vacation bench.

According to the petitioners closed Delhi Borders causing traffic issue and making it difficult for common people including Covid-19 patients to reach emergency medical services.

Chief Justice only holding protest will not help and court wants to acilitate a dialogue between the government and farmers
