Indian farmers approach top court against new laws

A petition was filled by Indian farmers in the Supreme Court of India asking to scrap new laws. They have blocked highways connecting New Delhi for the past 2 weeks.

No date set by top court for hearing but it is expected to take government’s response.

Bharatiya Kisan Union filled the petition. 5 round of talks failed between farmers and government of India since November. Government failed to remove block and protest continues asking the new law to be scraped.
