IPL 2019 schedule for the first two week matches has been announced

The dates for IPL 2019 matches of the first two weeks have been announced by the organisers, the opening match will be between Chennai Super Kings playing Royal Challengers Bangalore on 23 March in Chennai.

The schedule for only the first 17 matches however have been announced so far with all teams playing a minimum of four matches but Delhi and Bangalore playing five each. Every team will play a minimum of two home and two away games, with Delhi playing three home matches and Bangalore getting three away games.

However the official also said that the scheduled is subject to change once the Lok Sabha elections dates are announced.

“Once these ( Lok Sabha 2019 election dates) have been released BCCI will address any issues with the first two weeks and will also prepare a schedule for the remainder of the season working with the local authorities around the polling dates.” the statement read.

  • 23 March: Chennai Super Kings vs Royal Challengers Bangalore (Chennai)
  • 24 March: Kolkata Knight Riders vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (Afternoon game in Kolkata) and Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals (Evening game in Mumbai)
  • 25 March: Rajasthan Royals vs Kings XI Punjab (Jaipur)
  • 26 March: Delhi Capitals vs Chennai Super Kings (Delhi)
  • 27 March: Kolkata Knight Riders vs Kings XI Punjab (Kolkata)
  • 28 March: Royals Challengers Bangalore vs Mumbai Indians (Bengaluru)
  • 29 March: Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Rajasthan Royals (Hyderabad)
  • 30 March: Kings XI Punjab vs Mumbai Indians (Afternoon game in Mohali) and Delhi Capitals vs Kolkata Knight Riders (Evening game in Delhi)
  • 31 March: Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royals Challengers Bangalore (Afternoon game in Hyderabad) and Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals (Evening game in Chennai)
  • 1 April: Kings XI Punjab vs Delhi Capitals (Mohali)
  • 2 April: Rajasthan Royals vs Royals Challengers Bangalore (Jaipur)
  • 3 April: Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings (Mumbai)
  • 4 April: Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (Delhi)
